Explanation of “Sure Tips” For those of you who are new at this, here is the explanation of a “Sure Tip” tip board. The construction of the game consists of a semi-ridged cardboard base, (or backing in which all information and tickets are placed) a specific number of tickets which are folded and banded to hide a previously printed number are glued in rows on the base. Printed at the top of the base is the name of the game, (which denotes the number of tickets) the winning number which is covered by a seal, and a serial number which matches the serial number printed on the ticket (or tip). On the back of the base you will find on most games a numbered line for each number that is revealed on the tickets. These lines are for the players to sign on the line which matches the number on their ticket. This makes it easier to track down the winner after all the tickets have been sold. When the winning number is revealed you can go down the list and match the winning number to the number on the back and go straight to the person who has signed that line and verify their ticket matches the winning number. Also printed on the back is a form number, suggested prize structure and price per play. Our “Sure Tip” tip boards are most easily described as a self contained raffle. You have all the tickets and the winner in your hand. The operator knows exactly how many tickets are going to be sold therefore you now exactly what your profit will be and the player knows exactly what the odds of winning are. Everything that can be done with a raffle can be done with our tip boards, all you need to do is let your imagination run wild and pick a game that fits your needs. There are many creative uses for sure tip games, that is part of the fun, being able to come up with your own way to use it. Here is the most basic way they are used: You need a means to raffle off a pair of pro-football tickets that have been donated to your cause. You need to determine how much money the item or items are worth, (in this case we will say they are worth $100.00) remember they have been donated so any and all revenue you generate from the tip board is all profit for your cause. I mention this because you may need to buy some prizes and you will want to take that into account when determining this next step. The size of the tip board ultimately determines the amount of money you will bring in. Some other factors to take into account are: The number of people you plan on hosting, and the type of people you plan on hosting. If you have a small crowd then it may be difficult to sell all 100 tickets from a 100 sure tip, you may want to consider using a 24 sure tip and selling 1 ticket for 5 dollars and bring in 120 dollars. The best advice I can give is have some good sales men and women and you will sell a lot more tickets. As you can tell all you have to do
is use your imagination and have some fun.
Note: Sorry but pictures do not show the quality of our tip products due to the reflective properties of "card stock." |
